Hi,
just got my d2flex from taskled today and i'm kind of worried about the resistor i need to limit the current.

I'm planning to use a WM-F3 bin SST-90 and a 3-cell sub-c nimh pack. maximum current of the d2flex is 6A, is that correct?

So, according to taskled's website:

taskled said:
(Vbat - TotalVf) = V
Next we calculate the necessary resistance we need to add:
V = I x R, or R = V / I

So, at the moment i don't know how about the voltage of my battery pack when it's fully charged, can i just assume it with 3.6V? Or should i just take my dmm?

Next thing is, where to put the resistor (between d2flex and led+ or led- should be correct, or?) and how much power does it need to take?

Can't help with the resistor, but Geoge sent me this back in December. I asked for the 9A version of the D2flex and this was his reply.

"All d2flex now have the higher current capable FET.
cheers,
george."

Thanks,
Frank

Ok i just got mail from taskled and he told me that the fet is rated for up to 16A. he is only de-rating it to ensure operation under all thermal conditions.
However, he told me that i propably won't need a current limiting resistor.
