Re: $1050 Piece of Cake (Yummy)

You might want to edit the title, I tought you where reviewing a very expensive pastry...

Re: $1050 Piece of Cake (Yummy)

It's a play on the link the was on Fenix-Store.com.

I'm sure MOST members understand it!

A few more comments. The clip is fairly nice, but I have no use for it. The screws that hold the clip are almost to big for the allen wrench they sent.

OH! I tried an unprotected 17500 in it. High flickered saying LOW BATTERY but low ran fine.

I'm more apt to actually USE my L1D Q5 as I run it on NimH.

But I'm still VERY impressed with the TK10!!!!

I understood!

Re: $1050 Piece of Cake (Yummy) Fenix TK10 for purists!

lol, remember there were only 35 people who were invited to the offer, so actually "most" people have no clue about chocolate cake on fenix's site lol

Actually anyone going to fenix-store.com was able to see the Chocolate Cake product as a recently added item. There were topics made about it on CPF.

I understood too. :bumpit:

But I asked myself, why everyone is making reviews about the new Fenix TK10?! Which is not a lot better then the T1.
Is there anything like a TK10 fangroup out there?

Re: $1050 Piece of Cake (Yummy)

I saw the cake, don't know why it's there, but must agree emphatically with the first post.
"The cake is a lie!"

I think the Tk10 is a bit better deal than the cake.:crackup:Unless, someone like Petra Nemkova pops out of it. :D

Re: $1050 Piece of Cake (Yummy)

What are some of the things that you prefer about this light over the T1?

Big clip that makes it hard to change modes and scrapes up the light's finish is gone (can't get my T1 open to remove it), easier to change modes, no sharp SS bezel cutting into my hands and fingers, tail switch is easier to access, cleaner beam, option of using the tactical ring, or not. Optional pocket clip.

Wow, that's quite the list of improvements. It does appear a little bit bulky directly behind the head, but everything else about the light looks and sounds great. Thanks for the info.

Re: $1050 Piece of Cake (Yummy) Fenix TK10 for purists!

in terms of design, it is better than the t1, i have a T1 for couple of weeks now. but in terms of output and brightness, it should be more or less like a T1 but i dont know about the throw. anyway, waiting for fenix to come up with something thats significantly brighter and t1 or T11.

well, the clip is no doubt a dissapointment in T1 but i put wrap the t1 with a cable tie and the clip is resting on that. anyway, i just set it to max setting so no problem. somehow i prefer the t1 look over the t11. i like the stainless steel bezel compared to the t11. well, thats my opinion.
