Re: FS: Led Zeppelin's Black Dog **Now with 3 Buying Options**

What batteries do you use to drive this light? will 6 regular CR123 work?
Hi iocheretyanny,

Depending on which body, I would use 3 x 18650's or 3 x 17670's, but you can also use 6 x CR123's in the FM holder as seen in this post by LZ himself (However 6 x RCR123's are not recommended).

Edit:Specs:
- All LEDs in series, Vf = 21.0V@350mA, 22.7V@900mA
- Regulated drive currents: Lo 110mA, Med 310mA, Hi 860mA
- Light runs on 3 X 17650 or 6 X CR123 (NOT RCR123) in FM holder
- Using 3 X 17650, 11.1V, light draws 2.05A on hi
- Using 6 X CR123s in FM holder, 18V, light draws 1.19A on hi

I believe using 6 RCR123's in the SureFire MB20 holder would be fine (3s 2p).

Thanks,
Steve

You mention the three brightness modes, does this light have the soft start tail switch?:candle:

Thanks,
Joe

I took mine out and blasted it across a cemetery about 4 1/2 hours ago.
It was something special. No other light touched it. I have 4 reflectors and 3 aspherics in mine and when I need max output no other light comes to mind as I reach for this one.

I should of bought more aspherics and more reflectors so I could swap around and tailor my beam to my mood!

Hi Joe,

It has a 3 Level Remora Board built directly into the head (You will get 3 levels with memory, no matter what body is used). The Mega Body comes with a McGizmo Forward Clicky. The M6 body comes with the M6 tail-cap.

Cheers,
Steve
