Would the E1B head work on a 2 cell body?

I'd love to get an E1B, put it on a E2D body or black HA E2e body. I wrote Surefire a while ago but they never responded with an answer. Anyone know? That would be a killer light. I would want it to pretty much stay the same on the brightness, but increased runtime would be killer especially on low...

There are posts that state the E1B will NOT work with rechargables, so I do not think it will work on an E2D or E2E.

It is too bad. The head on the E1B is not like any other single cell Surefire heads.
Strange how it is brighter using a single cell than the other 1 and 2 cell heads KX1 and KX2.

I wonder why Surefire is not selling the head from the E1B as an accessory. Like they did with the L4 by selling the KL4 (which still is being sold by Surefire and is very expensive at $130.00.

I like the E1B head very much. I have played with it by mounting it on several bodies and 2 stage action works perfectly no matter what I mount it on.
A 2 cell version of the E1B would be cool but would sort of defeat the purpose of the E1B's small size.
Surefire rocks.
