X80 lamp voltage?

I have a spare Surefire X80 lamp that I was thinking of using in a modded 4AA light with Nimh's but I don't remember the voltage it runs at. How much can it take?

3.6 volts. Not sure how much more, in an overdriven state, thoiugh...

X80 can <font color="red">NOT</font> take over 3.6 nominal voltage (3 cell)
I have tried using 2 cell lead acid battery 4.4 volt, bulb last only 12 minutes.
