I had a friend ask me about some testing of an XM-L2 in the neutral flavor so I though I'd share the results. The testing was done in a 0.3m sphere.

I really like this LED, it is the XML2 T4 5D2 80+CRI.

Great color rendering for an XML2 and slightly warmer than the Nichia 219.

This LED is from Int' Outdoors, last I checked they were out of this tint but have 2 other neutral XML2 with 80+CRI.

Was this xm-l2 sold as a T4 or T5 bin?

Not bad, the lumens figure correlate more with a T5 - T6 on the datasheet. Unless the temp wasn't @85, eg. a quick test of each level at room temp?

These were instant on measurements, temps ranged from about 25c to about 45c.

Is it possible for you to test very low current levels such as 1ma, 5ma, and 10ma? I have a new drop-in on the way that has a "moonlight mode" which is around 5ma drive current. I am just curious at what the sphere would reveal. The XM-L2 I have coming in that drop-in is a T4 5B1 which I am pretty excited about. That is pretty close to this one you tested. Thank you for your time.
