Is the Xtar SSC P7-C good value for $80 or is there better value for a High power compact LED light complete with batteries and charger ? Any suggestion for lights and respectable mail order companies? Thanks
John

What will you use the light for?
What size are you looking at?
What batteries do you prefer?
Multimode?(low output, strobe, etc.)
What runtime?
What beampattern?

I haven't seen any Xtar SSC P7 reviews so I'm not sure if it's a great deal. presuming it is of a similar quality to other lower priced SSC P7 lights, it does look like a decent deal.

Small enough to fit in a coat pocket
Would take one 18650 battery.
Have a high and low mode.
Have a run time of 40 mins .
Have more of a spot than a flood.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Most Seoul P7 lights are more flood then spot. But they do have a good amount of output(I think 400-500 lumen out the front) so they can throw pretty far.

From this review, it seems like a good deal.

Be careful right now. They seem to be having issues with the battery that comes with it. I currently have a thread going about this very light where the full power mode does not work. The mfgr acknowledges that there is a
problem with a batch of batteries that come supplied with the light.
I am still waiting for them to replace my batteries to see if that fixes the
problem.

Are there any P7 flashlights that can be run on both 18650 battery or two CR123A ?
