With the 2008 year coming to a close, its commonplace to look back and reflect on the last 12 months. I was thinking what my best deals/scores have been over the past 12 months.
Hmm.. Surefire M2, TOP Stryker, various Romisens and DX modules...
Up until a week ago my RC-N3-Q5 would have won... but since receiving the Leatherman LGX-200 in the costco gift pack Christmas morning, I gotta say I am VERY impressed. FWIW the LGX-200 is a rebadged Fenix L1T, V2.0. The whole set, light + multi-tool costs $49. You could turn around and sell the tool on ebay for $30 end end up with the light for $20:thumbsup:. That makes it a SCREAMING deal. Granted its not as bright as the RC-N3, but the Leatherman has a more useful floody beam, adds a long running 16 Lumen low mode and emits 95 Lumens(at the emitter) from a standard AA cell.
You can also use a primary CR123 cell, a P2D body/switch, and crank out a whopping ~150 L (at the emitter).
So, my best deal this year has been the Leatherman LGX-200 in the costco gift pack... followed very closely by the shiningbeam RC-N3-Q5.
