The OP didn't specify but I'm basing this on those with which I've had firsthand experience. I'm also limiting this to handheld flashlights; no headlamps, etc. The brands are: Coast, HDS/Ra, Inova, LiteFlux, Maglite, NiteCore, Streamlight, and SureFire.

Those that fit my needs are, in order:

1. HDS/Ra.
2. Surefire.
3. ? pondering this one.

Coast and Inova are on my "never again" list.
