I imagine the responses here are a pretty good indication why.

He's clearly passionate about building. Few people here on CPF are.

That was the light he made before he heard of CPF. I don't think he had even heard of Cree or Seoul at that point.

It is an impressive feat and most people even with CPF at their disposal; will never build a light of this quality.

By the date on the Youtube the light was built about a year before he found CPF, he should be applauded for his efforts, not put down.
His skills are far above most of us even if the execution was a bit cumbersome.
