Help pick my christmas light!!

Okay I am going to get a light for christmas. I am having a hard time deciding.
I am carrying an E1L daily now. I love led lights but I am also looking for some brightness!!!! Powerful yet compact with throw.
I have about $200-250 to spend so what would you buy??

I seem to be saying this a lot lately: What are you going to use the new light for? I see you have listed some lights with different designs/sizes/battery options?

What do you prefer?
A small light for pocket carry? HDS
You want to use rechargeables?
Want regulated output?
A larger light, with multiple output levels? U2, Gladius
Would you benefit from using LED over incan (or viceversa)?
...etc.

...that said... "powerful, compact, with throw" I'd get a Gladius.

If you're looking for BRIGHTNESS, eliminate the LED options from your list...

I love the led lights but I think I am going to put a kl4 head on my E1L and make a TW4. I thnk that will be my EDC and will put out more light than a HDS. I really don't need the multiple light levels. I really am looking for BRIGHT with an excllent beam!

If I could only have one light on your list to 'keep' rather than to resell, it would likely be the Gladius with the HDS being a close second.

I chose HDS. Of course I don't own a single one of the choices, and ain't likely to afford one either.

But a pretty bright multi level small light would be my choice.
