I pulled the CTT exactly 3-meters from the garage door tonight and took a quick LUX reading on low and hi beams. Surprisingly it didn't come out as high as I thought it would but then again, we don't want to fry people's eyeballs. :naughty:
I have what they call Projector beam lens Bi-Xenon Headlights. But I think they are Halogen because looking up the OEM replacement parts I find Osram/Silvania 55w Silver Star H-7 Reqs. 3 per Side Halogen Lights Also 2 Req w/Gas D1S :shrug:
Anyway, here's the numbers
Lo Beam = 15760 LUX at 1-meter (throws 1-LUX at a distance of 125-meters) (136 yards)
Hi Beam = 39,600 LUX at 1-meter (throws 1-LUX at a distance of 188-meters) (205 yards)
USL = 50,000 LUX (223-meters or 243 yards)
Polarion Eagle Eye = 310,500 LUX (557-meters or 609 yards)
Costco 35 HiD = 765,000 LUX (874-meters or 955 yards or over half a mile!!)
