I've been looking for a new board for the dead AA body I have, so today, I converted a Dorcy to fit - new board and everything!

Close up:

It took 2 hours of soldering and is just barely dinmmer than my AAA, but you really have to look to notice it!

I made the washer by twisting the empty body thru a piece of foam and burning out the middle with my soldering iron. My tattoo artist happend to have the perfect size o-ring for me!

Uhm, wow, you converted the board's components into that!
It would of been much easier to gut one of those AAA clones!
Are you going to pot the pill partially in epoxy so the components are nice and secure, or leave it to be modded again?

I already potted it last night, and as for the clone, I know it would have been eaiser, but I didn't have a clone on hand, and then I would have had to fill up that body, too. The Dorcy's are so crappy (at least body wise) that I had no problem trashing it.

Besides, anything worth doing is worth doing the hard way.
