It is "trit" (rhymes with "it"), long E as in "beam", "um" as in "hum". With the emphasis on the trit. Merriam Webster puts the emphAsis on the secOnd syllAble, but Noah Webster died before Tritium was discovered, so ignore that. Heh. The emphasis should be on the sYllable just preceding "ium", like gallAdium or EinstEINium.
Test tomorrow at 9a.

Somewhere on the web there's an audio file of Linus Torvalds saying "Linux" It sounds kind of funny with his accent. But then again, he can also pronounce Torvalds.
