I just got an old 5C mag from a friend, and was thinking about making it into a tri-lux, but was wondering if it could be done with DD, no converter boards. I searched around, but most of the mod's involved boards, and like i said, not really looking to use one...Thanks alot guys

5 NiMh C-Cells... thats 6v.

If you get your hands on 3 ***S Bin Lux V you can make it a 15w Tri-Lux DD monster

thanks MattK and Meduza....the idea of using the dummy cells doesnt really apeal to me, I figure if I got the 6v, why waste the space....Meduza has hit it right on the head...and I would do it, but the cost of them lux's is a bit out of my range for the time being, :awman:

definatley going to need to keep that in mind for when I have a few bucks layin around...thanks again guys

You could buy one lux a time if you want to

Just put one lux in but wire it up for three, then when you get more cash you can add another lux ?

Start with 5w, then get 10w and at last the great 15w

fresh off the charger, 5 NIMH is over 7V, and even after a rest it's ~6.5V...
