Does this mean a spares carrier that is meant to fit the bulbs for the E series? SC3?

Thanks,

Ah - good info then, thanks! I was just moments away from ordering an SC1 and stuffing some foam rubber in to hold the bulb. Guess I'll wait. Any clue when these might be available?

What is an E2e? And on a different note, do the E2 and 6p have the same output?
Thanks,

E2e is replacing the E2.

The E2e has:
anti-roll bezel
Pyrex lens
Lockout Tailcap
removeable/changeable belt clip that hooks to the E2e body, with the E2 the clip hooked to the bezel
It's a tiny bit longer
Looks different

The E2 has:
none of the above

The E2 & E2e use a 60 lumen lamp (25 lumen lamp w/150min run time coming soon)

All other x2's use a 65 lumen lamp (120 lumen lamp optional)

Have a look: E2e

I thought it was just supplementing the original Ex series? I hope it`s not taking over- sure, all those new features are nice, but I can`t see anything replacing my current E2, except another E2 of course!

I just don`t think the new ones look as good. The look of the classic E2 is a design that cannot be improved on, I think.

Chill out, Chris !!
Sean, the E2e will run alongside the E2 - that was (officially) announced some time ago.

I also disliked the E2e, only because of the Hex head, but I've accepted it now ...
The extra form-factor is actually negligible, if a touch tactical looking.

Tell us more Alex. Anything surprising either good or bad? Overall thoughts? You owe it to all of us to give us an overview as you are the first one (other than Shelby) to have one.

How does it compare to the E2 in size, weight, beam, length?

Please compare the beam to a regular E2 if you have one and tell us if can visibly tell a difference between the lens material of the two.

I liked Darell's point on this. He kept getting the urge to take a wrench to the hex.

I usually post on SF DBoard first. It's all there...

Well, if you are too lazy

:

same LA(MN03)

bigger reflector(extra 1mm on the edge, where E2 has rubber or plastic)

the beam is a bit more diffused(I guess due to the reflector)

the lens feels lexan, but if you tap it with a key - pyrex

antiroll bezel - love it(my E1 and E2 always rolled away from me)

I shined E2 and E2e on a white wall at 5 ft - E2e is NOTICEABLY WHITER

belt clip is too small for a leather belt, but fits perfect a duty/nylon belt

lockout - don't know if I like it or not yet(never had any problems with E2)

there is no room for lanyard ring

it is very "cool" looking - a mini M2

only finish - HA3

spares carrier for MN0X will be avaliable soon

I hope new HA3camo will be an option.

The E2e has a PocketClip!!!!

I was the only one at the SureFire Stand that had a light clipped to my Belt - the M2. Practically all the SureFire guys had their E2 clipped to the inside of their trouser pocket.

PK had an A2... Honestly! He gets all the perks!

I got my E2e this morning

and it is indeed a great light. I do not have the E2 as I was waiting for the E2e. I really like the hex bezel and think it got a bad rap when first announced. Now I hear there is going to be a camo HA3 for the E2e and I want one of those. Will I ever have enough lights?

I can't get any news on the new E-serious spares carrier. Do you have any?

Thanks!

Alex,

I have a great "spares carrier". Too bad I don't have a digital camera, but I'll try to describe it.

It's simply an ordinary Stramlight Scorpion holster, modified by shortening the flap and adding velcro. It's 3 5/8" x 1 1/8" and holds:

One SF lamp (P60/61, P90/91 etc.) PLUS 4 123A's

OR Two MN03's PLUS 4 123A's

OR One UK Lamp for 2L/Mini Q40/4AA PLUS 4 AA's.

It fits neatly on my belt (or in my pocket) weighs next to nothing and takes up negligible space. I can't imagine anything more convenient or efficient.

I've carried it for weeks without any lamp damage. The two MN03's are automatically protected by a special little gizmo, and the P60's etc. can be "hardened" by the simple addition of a cardboard or plastic disc, but I have not found any of these precautions to be necessary.

Best regards,
Brightnorm
