I want to replace the pocket clip on my Surefire L4. I've taken the head off, and have tried pulling off the clip several different ways with no luck. Is there some trick to getting the clip off?

Thanks

No trick. It's just in there tight. I use a flathead screwdriver, place the tip at the top /inside bend and tap it out.

Try tying a piece of string to it for leverage. Remove the O-ring 1st not to damage it. There is a plastic spacer under the clip, don't lose it!

Remove the head and the o-ring.

I use a strong boot lace or piece of paracord. Make a loop and hook it under the clip. A few hard tugs will usually do it.

Make sure that you do not lose the small plastic wedge that is under the clip. You will need it to reinstall. I usually do this pulling and tugging inside or really through a plastic grocery bag. If the plastic piece flies out it will be in the bag.

Also keep in mind that with no clip, you may have an issue with the o-ring pushing out from under the head.
