I couldn't tell from the pic but it looks like it can be used on a lanyard? Anybody know if it can?
Does gerber infinity ultra have a hole for a lanyard?

Yes, it has a large lanyard hole in the tailcap.
I also have used my Gerber IU as a tent light and find it OK for that purpose.
I just received today a new Gerber IU with the upgraded LED and it is significantly brighter than my early model Gerber, although it shows less quality in construction. When I ordered the new one, the web site showed a picture of the CMG model and described it as an upgraded version of the CMG Infinity. Alas, they lied.
