I don't mean to be a party pooper but they've been doing this for a fair few months now. 
It's ok but it still needs alot of work doing to it, like the buffer should buffer more before it plays for slower connections.
As rich as google is they need to pump more money into bandwidth for the site.

They've been doing this for a good many months now. Pretty cool.

They have indeed been doing videos for a while now, but previously it was only accessible by actually typing video.google.com. It doens't have as big a collection as Youtube, but I get a sense that it (ever so slightly) has less "trash" videos than Youtube. It's a fun site. Just beware, because you can blow off a regrettable amount of time just messing around on that site.
You didn't have to type it in, you could go into the experimental section or whatever they call it.
