In Mr. Bulks Space Needle build, he uses a custom made heatsink and emitter platform.
I was wondering if I could just use the base of a PR bulb (after breaking all the glass out) and just put the emitter on that. I think electronically the graf would work but now it would be relying on the Mag head as it's only heatsink.
And that's it... no resistor required and just overdrive the 5W luxeon at 9 volts.
I wonder if I could just do this to the MAG 3W dropin LED?
