MiniMag LEDs: Colors Coming

I received the following nice e-mail response from Maglite today, regarding body colors for the Minimag LED lights:

"Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your interest in Maglite products. The Mini Maglite AA and AAA LED flashlights are being offered in the following colors: black, red, gray/pewter, silver and blue. At present some of these are already available at the following retailers and/or mail order sources:

Walmart, Ace Hardware, Lowes, True Value, Z Battery @ www.zbattery.com/magflashlite.html or 800-624-8681, Pacific Instrument @ www.flashlightking.com, Nalpak @ www.all-maglite-4-less.com and Consumer Link @ 800-421-1223 www.clorders.com/magliteproducts.htm.

Colors you don't see now should start appearing on shelves shortly.

Today I received the following clarification from Mag, regarding the above e-mail:

In my original e-mail to Mag, I only mentioned the 2AA and 3AA models. I don't know if Lynn really meant to reference an "AAA" LED, but I sent another e-mail asking for clarification. I'll post the response.

These would be the body colors.

Bought my GF a MM incan in pink! Only ever seen that once. Found a Soli the other day in what looked like aqua marine. Would love to find a 3D in purple to go between my blue 4D and red 2D. Black is my least favorite although I just got the 3AA in black cause thats all I could find.

red and yellow, pink and green, purple and orange and blue...
i can shine a rainbow..., shine a rainbow..., shine a rainbow too...


i want a pink minimag with a PINK binned white luxeon III
and then a green with green luxeon
blue with blue luxeon.
and the other colours of the luxeon line in their respective coloured minmags.

I'm holding out for some gray 2AA.

My favorite Maglite color is copper. :shrug:

Yep, that's what we get from Maglite in terms of innovation ... different colors.
