Discussion of the strength of the C-E LeefBody
I've made a couple of prototypes of a body using the SF C switch and SF E or Aleph heads. This is a rear-loading tube.
IMHO, when combined with the Aleph 2 or 19 heads, this makes a great looking and feeling light, since it's completely cylindrical. It also looks great with the Aleph 3 heads.
Of course, the run time increase with 1x18650, compared to 1xCR1213 or 1xRCR123, is dramatic. For example, the new Shoppe Aleph 19 Cree XR-E head gets 26 min. in regulation with a RCR123, and 124 min. with 1x18650 (protected).
My prototypes are 1x18650, but other options include 2x18650, 1x18500, 2x18500...
I'd guess that these bodies would sell in the sub-$60 range.
Is there any interest?
