I just found this in my cellar, I made it when I was 10 or 12

It strapped onto your arm via shoelace and velcro

Cool, that's the Sort of thing I did at that age. I used to use the inside of a toilet roll as a battery tube etc. Any torch I ever had was pulled apart to build other less reliable torches.

at that age of 10 ... my first experiments were to overdrive 4 cell eveready "search light" with a 3 cell bulb...
I blew a few yellow LED's driving em directly at 9v battery in order to get brighter LED... only to find that 23 years later Cree would come up with a good 100 lm/watt LED :) and I do not need to drive at 9V but rather more like 3+V

in between... many "Mods" until I landed on CPF... to discover... I am not alone in this world :)
