Brightest LEDs and Where to Get Them?

Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get the latest (and brightest!) white 3mm LEDs. I ordered some white LEDs a few years ago and put them into minimags with decent results (direct drive). I figure the ones available today will be much brighter and give even better results.

Here is a good source for 5mm leds. The THC3 leds are what i upgraded my surefire A2 with.

I hope I'm not leading you to a lemon but if these use the same chip as the Jeled 50Ks then they should be plenty bright.

thats a good link, but now I ahve to convince myself to buy 100 of them...I onyl need like 5, but hey you never know right, they are good to have around for other mods...Thanks!

They sell them in 50s also. A little more per unit, but if you don't need 100. Then again, you never know when they'll come in handy. I told myself that about 2000 LEDs ago. :laughing:

I modded a minimag 2xAA with a sanded down (body and leads) Nichia CS 5mm. It's a very tight fit, but it can be done and it's significantly brighter than any 3 mil.
