SF L1 emitter type?

Just for my own curiosity (and my inventory)

What TYPE of emitter did Surefire use in the OLD L1 ?

Leuxeon, Nicia, etc.?

the very first L1 used a 1 watt luxeon but the more up to date version uses a 3 watt luxion. the one they they are about to release use some type of a cree.
