Ah i see, i didnt know there were 1/3 size AA batts :p hehe
That mini L1P looks like just the head and tail modules, without the middle part. He must have probably rethreaded them to match, or ca the stock L1P be put together this way too?

Probably a cut-down L1p running on a 1/3AA NiMH cell.

So if these are 1/3 AA's then we can stack 3 of emm and have a nice 3.6v 280mah AA replacement for modding a single AA cheapy or whatever. And it's Diam is 13.9mm so I guess it would be a 14280 like our 2/3AAA 10280. Hey It's all startin to get a little clearer now. ')
Those are sets for a 19.2v bat pack, wow

Not stock it cant, but it would be really easy to mill a threaded tube that you could put the head and tail on.

Cool light.

You might be on to something here. A typical AA is around 50mm in length. 3 of these is around 48mm. 3 of em at 280mah apiece would be 840mah. Near CR123 capacity. Soon off the charger they would be around 1.4v apiece for 4.2v together. Until a 123 body is available for the L1D CE, this would give you L2D like performance (Turbo mode) with the L1D body.

uhm, something in your calculation isn't right... 3 x 1.2V 280mah is either 3.6V 280mah or 1.2V 840mah.

Cute. It looks like a Fenix L1P with the tailcap and head glued together. Can't be much space for a battery, but who knows.

.
Not sure bout them but I thought Fenix had it together better.
I placed an order for a L1D CE on 2/5 and it just shipped on 2/13. Like wow a week to process an order, thought it was a stock item..
I'm sure I'll be a happy camper when it arrives..

Yes you will. I've been waiting awhile for Fenix to make this little gem for months, and it was well worth the wait.
