I just bought a PT20 from the sell thread. I lost the members name and got the
light today. Light looks brand new and I am sure its fine. Has an LED drop in
and I feel stupid but I don't know how the batteries go in it. No markings that
I can see. Anyone? Maybe the guy I bought it from will respond.

Re: PT 20 Batteries

Hello Marnav1,

With the index ridge facing up, mine has a + mark on the right side and a - mark on the left side.

Since I'm clueless myself on the battery orientation: Do an "advanced search" on your own posts, and restrict the search to the BST area. That should bring up the BST thread where you bought this light from.

Re: PT 20 Batteries

The battery polarity is indeed marked inside the flashlight.

Trouble is, it's simply *molded* in the plastic body.

That is, with (for example) a Black flashlight -

the markings are black plastic on black plastic.

Not the easiest things to see.

On my own Princeton Tec Tec-20's and Sport Flares,

which are all either Neon Red or Granite Gray in color,

i've taken a Sharpie marker, and carefully "inked in"

the polarity markings. Big improvement for visibility.

Hope this is helpful.

Oh, and one more thing . . . .

For longest life, there's no need to FULLY tighten the head

to turn the light on. Be a bit gentle, and avoid over-tightening.

Oh, and lube the O-ring, too.
