Who here has modded a KL5?

SF's upcoming L5 will have a Cree XR-E rated at 120 lumens (true out the front lumens), so if you don't mind waiting, you don't need to do a mod.

Yeah, your right.
I dont really like how the new KLX5 looks though.

Yeah, it does look a bit strange...super thick aluminum and a small optic. My 07 catalog shows the current/old L5 tho...guess they didn't have the proto available yet for pics for the 07 cat.

I have pondered sending my L5 off to Milkyspit for a Seoul + KL6 board mod, but I can't stand the thought of losing the near perfect tint and awesome spill of the L5 I have right now. Surely someone must have tried this mod...anyone?

Keep that great KL5. I have Seoul'ed or Cree'd most of my lights, including my KL6, but the KL5 stands alone, showing excellent runtime with one 18650, and overachieving light output.
