HHmmm, :thinking:

70 lumens/watt at 350 mA, 160 lumens at higher currents..

Don't we have that already with the Cree's and Seouls ??? The only improvement is that its smaller ??

Just thoughts..

The Rebel has been discussed quite a bit but ...

Just released : 04-04-2007

This LED from Avago is new : Avago's ASMT-MW20 Power LED emitter can be driven at 700 mA to deliver up to 160 lm of illumination.

These only provide 57 lm/W; not bad but Cree based LEDs are doing better.

You seem to have missed all the discussion we've already had on this - conclusion: it's not actually that useful for flashlights. It is far from the brightest LED yet - for a single chip that's either the SSC P4 with 240lm or the Edixeon with 250lm, depending on whose marketing material you believe.
