What's next?

Seems like Surefire finally released a Cree light months after Fenix did, but I'm wondering, what's next after Cree XR-E's? I have a Fenix L1T and an L1D CE and the L1D is pretty superior, but I'm just wondering if there's anything coming out soon that will be better than the Cree XR-E by a significant margin.

I've read a few people talk about the Rebel LED, but then people say it will be beaten by a new Cree Q5 bin, so that's not that exciting. When I got my L1T I didn't even know Cree was coming out with a newer LED that blew the Luxeon out of the water (or whatever the L1T uses).

So that being said, what's coming up that's gonna make the Cree look bad?

There will always be something better given enough time. At least it isn't like computers where a new chip comes out every 6 months. Depending on your needs for the light, we dont have to chase the newest and best when they first come out. If you want to go ahead. I'll wait until prices come down, and the bugs are worked out.
