How to open DX SKU 5435

Anyone knows how to open DX SKU 5435, because mine is DOA. I am sure i can fix it if i can open it first.

try to dislodge the ring on top of that lens than maybe you can have access through that.

i tried it, could not find any notch as leverage. I tried removing/twisting the body from the head as i suspected there is a seems that supposed to be a seperate body but to no avail even after being subject to a small jet torch.

i am confused now

finally found way how to open this one, the brass ring actually unscrew the hard part is actually unscrewing it

because there is no hole or anything to rotate it.

You can make use of a piece of soft stationery "Eraser" as an aid to grip and unscrew the brass ring in order to access the light engine. :grin2:

wrap a little rubber around the body to avoid scratches and turn both wise and counter clock wise
