LED P60 Drop-in build tutorial?

Anyone know where I can find an LED P60 drop-in build tutorial?

I'm interested in building a high quality drop-in running a Q5 at 1000mA that will run on either two or three primaries or a protected 18650. I am a relative novice so I am not familiar with the procedure.

Can anyone point me toward some resources? I've run several searches but am coming up short. Thanks.

Just buy one of the cheap ones from DX or similar store and switch the emittor to a Q5... easy to just desolder the old one and put some thermal grease under the new one and solder it together.

I've got $2 aluminum can sets, an SSC P4, and a Cree Q2, and 2-3 kinds of drivers headed this way, if DX ever moves from "Collecting from Suppliers".

Thanks sysadmn,

I found that McCapsule tutorial earlier today. I like it a lot but cannot find the modified McR-27 reflector that would be required for use in either the SF C2 or M2 bezel. Otherwise, that is exactly what I am interesting in making–a premium quality drop-in that can be upgraded as emitters progress. The Shoppe apparently had them when the McCapsule debued but I don't see them now on their site.

Anyone know where to find the modified McR-27?

Email the Shoppe or ask in their custom thread? You might also post ing B/S/T.

Barring that, start a thread asking if anyone can explain the mod needed - it might be as simple as removing a few mm from the wide end.
