Fenix R2

I was looking at the Prolight Japan website and saw that Fenix has the T1 with the R2 in it. Has anybody heard when we will be able to get it over here? I have been wanting to get this light but then I saw the R2 and I am thinking I just might wait a bit longer. Hopefully it will have the strobe also. Fenix store please chime in if you have any info for us on these R2 lights. Thanks in advance. :popcorn:

Prolight seems to get the latest and greastest emitters in Fenix lights before anyone else. I think R2's are in fairly short supply, and until more are available it might be awhile before we see them in Fenix lights available to US dealers, but who knows.

I want to see a P2D R2, I might bite on that.

In dumb person terms what would be the advantages of the R2 over a current Q5?

Tint and Lumens, this is what i am interested in. I sure HOPE that fenix use higher spectrum lights, since everyone says they are better, and it makes sense, doesn't it.
