I just got my first batch of Nexstar bulbs to put in my mini-mag...question is this: the stock mini-mag bulbs don't take too kindly to lithium AA's...do the Nexstar bulbs fare any better with lithium batteries? Any responses would be appreciated, so I don't hafta find out the hard way

Judging from the brightness with alkalines, the current draw, and the relative internal impedance between alkaline and lithium, I would say use at your own risk...but then you're only risking $2.50.

I can report that the Radio Shack 2.5V 0.43A high output replacement bulb hasn't blown in any of my 4 MiniMags that have it and lithium cells. I've never tried the Nexstar lamp and I don't know what it's design voltage or life are.
