This is a minor rant. It's flashlight related though.

I've been a reader of The Gadgeteer ever since Julie Streitelmeier started her site.

Recently, this person by the name of Dave Rees has reviewed three flashlights. A SureFire Kroma, a SureFire U2, and a Brite Strike 1x123 unit.

Then, the moron decides to compare the Brite Strike 1x123 unit (pushing 85 lumens, BTW) with a 2xAA MiniMag LED, saying that it's comparable.

Is this person a flipping moron?

Here's the two review sections. He lumps the Kroma and the U2 into the same article.

Please feel free to comment to him. I've done so already on the Kroma/U2 article. I'm trying to compose myself to do the Brite Strike comment.

I remember reading the U2 and Kroma reviews when they were first posted and my first reaction was that they were woefully inadequate. However, that being said, I've actually written reviews for Julie in the past and I found out that people love to pick apart everything you write. So I just look for the good info from the reviews and scrap the rest! ;)

Wow, THAT's a blast from the past!
I used to frequent their site about 7-8 years ago! Didn't realize it was still around! It was back in the iPaq heyday...lol.

Hey, Julie is pretty good about accepting new articles, I believe. Why don't ya write some reviews of lights for her? =D
