Greetings! Thanks to all who have posted recommendations of keychain flashlights for me. After much research, I think I have narrowed it down to the Backup or the Fenix LOD Q5. Can anyone make any recommendations from here about either of the two? I am looking for super brightness, run time, and ruggedness/waterproofing as I look at my options. Thanks for the advice.

Those two are very different lights. The Backup is much too big for a keychain, but the L0D will fit a keychain just fine.

Are you looking for a keychain light or ?

LOD-Q5? Do you mean LOD-Q4, or is there a Q5 version now? :)

SF E1B is kinda big for a keychain. I have a SF E1B, L1, E2e, I EDC a Fenix P2D, smaller, lighter, brighter.

I don't have the SF Backup, for FWIW, I have had the LOD Q4 on my keychain for a couple of weeks now, and absolutely love it.

Welcome to CandlePowerForums !

:welcome:

To address your question . . . .

Perhaps you oughta' look at the Fenix L1D-CE,
rather than the L0D-CE.

L1D-CE takes a AA-cell battery.

The L0D-CE takes a AAA-cell.

Since one of your stated characteristics is RunTime,

you'd certainly last longer by using the larger battery.

Do lots of reading, and that should answer all of yer' questions.

Of course, let me be the first CPF'er to tell you:

"Buy Both !"
