I am looking for a 1xCR123 light in the $26 range MAX (IE tight budget). My brother just gave me a TON of CR123 primaries and I already have 10 RCR123s. So, ideally I am looking for a light that performs acceptably with BOTH kinds of cells... if thats possible at all.

SO... I quite simply can not make up my mind, and I am asking you all to tell me which ONE of these lights to purchase. At the end of a week or two I will tally up the votes and thats what I will buy.... HONESTLY. I am THAT indecisive on this one. Here are the candidates I have.

1) Romisen RC-N3 Q5 from shiningbeam. Fast shipping, upgraded emitter. Romisen quality. CPF member discount, 2AA compatibility.

2) New Q5 DX trustfire. GITD Clicky, 230 emitter lumens. If you like, recommend this one to me and I will be the guinea-pig for the forum and test the waters for you all (assuming bessiebenny doesn't get to it first)

3) Ultrafire 602C, the only multi-mode Q5 based torch I can afford thats small enough to EDC. I like how its modes are sequenced Med-Low-Hi.

4) Romisen RC-C3, black. I can buy TWO of them for $26, together thats close to ~200 Lumens of floody goodness!! I dont mind EDC-ing two of these. I really like the color tint of the P4 Emitter. Twist-cap reliability is a major plus for me.

Just reply to this thread... thanks!! Let the spending begin!!

**edit**
If you have another 1xCR123 that you think is better then these, PLEASE feel free to recommend that too. Thanks again

The only one I can recommend is the RC-N3 Q5. I bought two of them and they arrived the other day. Very bright light and has a runtime of about 4 hrs using cheap (AA)Energizer Industrial batteries. I did put in a RCR123 in one of them and it was a bit brighter than the 2 AA.

I have some of my inspectors testing out the durability right now, but I was certainly impressed. Good throw with a nice bright hotspot.

Out of the four you listed I would go with the

RC-N3 also!!!

1) I have 2 of them from shineingbeam (a P4 version and a Q5 version) both are very nice and for the price you cant beat them. use "CPFuser" and get 6% off when you checkout...

2) The other 3 are from DX and may take more than "months" to get to you if it's not in stock, it's shiped from "Hong Kong". I'm still waiting for things I place a few months ago to come via the "slow boat from China". Shiningbeam is in New York. I live in New York and it takes 1 day for it to get to me via USPS 1st class mail....
