Im just curious why SF LEDs like my P60L drop in only draws on the 2x CR123 batteries for 11 hours. vs my blackhawk gladius only lasts 90mins.

Light output is the same 80 lumens. I know the gladius has other features like autodimming and strobe. but if I leave my flashlight on, at just he brightest setting, why does it draw so much more power than the SF 6PL?

thanks

The Surefire P60L runs for around 3 hours regulated and provides usable(over 1 lumen) light for the next 8 hours.

The Gladius also uses a last gen LED, which is half of less the efficiency of the current gen LEDs, so for in order for it to produce a matching amount of light, it would have to draw at least twice the current hence half the runtime.
