Hi,

The head on my E2L keeps coming loose. It actually not the head but the lens part. Is not big deal as I screw it back in BUT to stay put I have to screw it all the way down. If I do that it will stay BUT the beam will get affected. The beam is optimal if there is about 2mm gap between the head and lens. This happens when I take out the battery. So how can I make the lens stay where I want to?

I was thinking put a washer (paper) or a spacer ? Maybe use some kind of loctite but which kind? Any ideas?

Loctite Threadlocker.

It should be available at your local hardware store.

Choose the blue if you want to remove it in the future.

Red is for a permanent seal.

I would absolutely start with blue.

Red will not say it's permanent, but with aluminum, I've stripped threads with the red. Like Deicide said, treat red as permanent.

I would go to a hobby shop and get the treadlock from there. The quantity is smaller and cheaper too since you don not need alot. Tamiya and Kyosho have them.

Might just put a couple wraps of teflon tape around the threads and put the head back on. Should be enough to get you a good adjustable friction fit.
