This next one is the same Malkoff drop in LED modules inside Solarforce Flashlight hosts but with the special filters Gene Malkoff gave me for testing. One is a 30 degree (both axes) general purpose filter, the next is a 30 degree by 5 degree filter which I used to make a thin horizontal pattern, My favorite. And the last one says 30 X .2 degrees but I have a feeling its really 30X 2 or 40 X 2 degrees. 30 By 0.2 degrees simply doesn't look right. The filters have lots of "spill" area beyond the narrow bright beam pattern, especially when looking at 18 feet away.

I realy find the 30 by 5 degree filter pattern useful for a good horizontal plane sweep.

I am still not happy with how these came out and plan to create one more with the color balance of the camera locked down in "daylight" mode and then compare the lights together in such a way that you can see the differences in the color patterns. So more still to come :twothumbs

Good video. I think this is the future for beamshoots. I know the pictures sometimes don't do the beamshoots justice. Camera tricks are attempted to give a more accurate depictions, but with video there is less room for error.

Thank you for posting. I been thinking about EagleTac and the video really helps making the purchase less of a coin toss.

Had everything worked according to plan there would have been at least 3 posted last night. Only the first one got uploaded and the rest of the night was wasted. Hopefully there will be at least 2 more today. I am also going to post some others from my collection I have put elsewhere into this same thread so that they can all be compared together. But when its all done, this thread will have at least 3 new videos that were all created last night. G

All the videos made last night are now successfully posted. I am not totally happy with them. I want to do more to show the color balances of the different lights which I will do this weekend. G

I added another video that I finally got uploaded. 6 minutes long comparing the Malkoff M60 warm module to the original and the one from the Idaho Factory, Milkyspit Creemator (on loan from WBP), Fenix T1 EagleTac T10C2 and P10C2 (on loan from WBP). The video camera had its color balance locked into daylight mode only. These new cameras auto shift if left in "AWB" mode (Automatic White Balance) and there is a single light source.
