Hi,

What is the difference between a protected 17670 w/1600mah and a protected 17670 w/1800mah?

I know the obvious answer is 200mah but I'm wondering about the difference performance wise?

Does the one with 1800mah last longer?

I lookedin the "Welcome Mat" but couldn't find an answer.

Yes and no.

Yes, a 1600mah battery will last slightly longer than the direct equivalent 1800mah battery.

No, in this case with the 1600mah protected 17670/1800mah protected 17670, as they're probably around the same capacity anyway (1600mah) and it's just the manufacturer of the "1800mah" exagerating the capacity.

As niconical said, but phrased differently, in a perfect world, an 1800mAH 17670 cell would last ~12.5% longer than a 1600mAH 17670. But in this world, we know that it's probably just one appropriately rated cell and another over-rated cell....

It's also possible, depending on which brand it is, and what comparisons are being made, that the 1600mAH cell could actually be a 1400mAH cell, and the 1800mAH cell could be a 1200mAH cell.... yes... it's possible :)
