Well I got an ARC LS 'second' cause i figured why toy around with a $130 LS when i can experiment with a $60 LS! It turned out to be an LS2/HD. So what should I do?
1) Change the LS to RED
2) Change the LS to a 5w and modify the board
3) Overdrive the LS
$) Any other ideas?

well...certainly don't change the led to red!
red, red/orange, and amber luxeons require a lower voltage, and have a postive slug.
i'm not sure if the arc slug is isolated, but the voltage problem is still there...

do you know how to modify the board?
if so, you could certainly pop in a red emitter, but red/oranges are brighter /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

a 5w would be nice too, but i'd be worried about heat issues.

i think popping in a cyan emitter, and overdriving a little bit (if you know how) would be nice /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

maybe putting a little glowpowder somewhere in the head would be cool too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
