I am looking for a converted 4c mag host with 4 P7's driven at their maximum. I will only be using the light in short burts so heat is not an issue. I want want maximum lumens in the 4C body. Does anyone know where I can buy such a light or have one made? Thanks.

There may not be many (any?) optics or reflectors for the P7 that you can get four of in a Mag head. The MC-E might be easier to work with.

Here's a pretty outrageous Mag build for sale, but it's a 2D instead of a 4C.

I need the diameter of the C cell to be able to maintain a shooting grip with a handgun. The D size is too big.

CPF member LED Zeppelin is who I would contact.
Search for "threads started by" and you will see examples of what he has built.

What you will probably want to do is get a 3x P7 Mag with these:

1 HipCC ($24 + shipping)
http://www.taskled.com/hipcc.html
http://taskled.com/order.html

4 26500's ($15 each)
http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=197375

Get your 4C bored to accept 4 26500's ($10+ shipping both ways)

Then you'll have to figure out where to get the heatsink & reflectors to let you do 3x P7's.

Here's 1 for 3xP7 for D Mag's ($44 USD, and you will need to use the HipCC). You might be able to talk to Der Witchel and see if its possible to get a C one made.

bstrickler - I think Der Wichtels triple kit will fit a MAg C head.
Check these pics of C and D head on Download's multi sink thread:

Looks like the C head has more space where needed at the top.
You may need an extra disc under the Der Wichtel heatsink to take up the space (and provide more heatsink) but the Wichtel heatsink has an extra section on the base that I think fits inside the D tube, not sure if it will foul the top of the C tube though , which sits lower in the head.

I was going to order a kit anyway , so I'll know soon

Sounds like an awesome idea... :twothumbs

While you may like the form factor of the 4C, you may find that it isn't long enough for the cells you're using. If you find that's the case, a 5C cut down and rethreaded may be just the ticket. Older 5C's also have a slightly larger bore too, which may help with the installation of your driver.
