I have a 6P that came with the standard Z41 twisty. I purchased a replacement clickie from DX for <$4, it works fine. Now I have a Z41 just sitting on the shelf. The Z41 has better knurling and higher quality overall that is easy to see. I just can't bring myself to pay $40 for a surefire clickie. Is it possible get a clickie switch from DX or wherever and convert the Z41 to a clicke?

That $4 DX clicky pill threads right into a Z41. I had to grind the pill a good ~2.5mm shorter to get the Z41 tailcap to sit down all the way though.

One thing I don't like about it though is that the switch boot puffs out and inflates from the trapped air inside. LOL... so I did the mod to my M2 and kind of regret it. no biggie, I'll just get a new Z41-HA some day.

I bought a $7.50 USD McClickie from the The Sandwich Shoppe and modded my Z41 tailcap. It is a forward clickie switch.

I didn't have an aluminum retaining ring at the time which is why I had to solder the brass tab to make contact. I've done the same mod with an aluminum retaining ring and didn't have to use the tab.

I think you can hack up the DX SKU 14024 retaining ring so it works. Or get one from a Solarforce tailcap.
