What's this in the bezel of my E2DL?

I just noticed something in the crease of the sealed LED head assembly on my E2DL. I guess its from the sealant or something. Does anyone else's lights have this? I tried my best to take a picture of it. You can see it on the top there in the crease of the bezel. I can stick a piece of paper in there and move it, it is like a tiny piece of dry paper or like a piece of rubber. Weird it wasn't like that before, it seems the outer sealant dried up and became visible after a few months. It's only like that in one place and not all around the bezel. t.

That would be the glue that makes Surefire lights a pain to mod.

Isn't there a flat gasket between the two parts of the bezel/heatsink assembly as well?

This might indeed be the gasket, unlike the one in those pictures, on mine it is only visible in one spot. I hope the bezel is safely sealed.

yep, had this in my E2dl also, and removed it. Came of without any effort. Mines was like that all around the bezel, but was visible in only one spot.
Dont know if it had any sealing.
Since then i dropped E2dl in gasoline and water without no ill effects. Just keep o-rings lubricated.

Gasoline? Hope the E2DL wasn't nice and hot, or

I was lucky to avoid the part. I will never deal with gasoline in the dark again.
