for those with the new Fenix LD20, are levels really separated on new fresh battery?

Er, shouldn't be... the modes are regulated, right? I have a LD10, and low has always been low.

I got my LD20 several months ago, but with fresh L91's low is as bright as medium. But I use Duraloops mostly.

IIRC L91s are 1.7v or something fresh, so the higher voltage will make the driver go into direct drive since the Vf of the LED is lower then the input voltage of the batteries. That could explain the higher output on low.
