I was impressed with both lights , the output from the black cat was a little low , but it sure does throw though . Im glad I got both , one I will keep , the other will be gifted for Christmas .

These lights are cheap enough , and :twothumbs I cant really find anything to complain about ... All I can say is Christmas is just around the corner and these could make for nice little stocking stuffers .

Thanks for the review. I was looking at some of the aaa lights for xmas gifts. Do you have an idea on the runtime of these lights? Will the Black Cat (AKA Blake Cat) have noticeably longer runtime due to its lower output, or are the differences negligible?

Just depends on battery capacity ..

Say 800mAh Rechargeable = 30 Minutes or possibly a little more with the Tank . and 34 minutes + for the other , so its mute .

Will very much depend on the battery you chose .

So which one will you keep? The Tank 007 or the Black Cat? Just curious, as I'm considering both of these lights myself.

Thanks for the review and shots.

Actually keeping both .
The black cat throws well , and the tank has good flood .

I will just have to bite the bullet and order more :D

The black cat's clicky button sticks out a little and is a little easier to use , so I may order 2 more black cats , just for the clicky and throw .

Has someone tried the tank007 tk703?

For me that's the best improvement on the tank007 AAA line.
Powerful, nice flood, clean ringless beam, white color tint, useful hand grip, affordable price ... an excelent value

Don't know what you mean Kostas. I figured we were talking about AAA flashlights...
About that Akoray you point out I like the small form factor for a 18650 and the price is really affordable, but only 1-mode with an XR-E Q5 pulling out 230 lm, surely 150 OTF, plus reverse clicky and anodize type II seem a bit short featured, IMO
