Surefire L2 MC-E
· Surefire L2
· Machined reflector
· Cree MC-E M-flux WD-tint (wired 2p2s)
· Custom made heatsink
· Stock electronics

Two-stage tailcap contains a 10 ohms resistor which is fine for me but could be swapped with a higher/lower resistor value for a lower/higher low.

Enjoy the pictures and thanks for looking.

Its good to see you still are keeping your hobby fresh, surefire mods are not so common on the forums anymore either.

Makes for interesting reading and inspiration.

Although they're pretty similar, I like the L2 with a MC-E more than a L4 with a MC-E.

Yeah, the MC-E is so bright that the low level really improves the utility of the light. I do like the L4 with an McE2s though. Of course, that basically makes it like the L2, only potentially shorter. :naughty: I have mine set up with a 22 Ohm resistor, and that seems about right when running it off of an IMR16340 or a 17670.
