M3 bezel on M4?

Has anyone tried this combination?
I have an M4 and find myself not carrying it due to the size of the T-Head.
If I were to put a M3 bezel on my M4 it would also shorten the M4 a bit. I'd could then use a battery spacer with 3-123's and a MN16 lamp.
If I had the cash I'd just buy an M3, but I could do the above transformation for about $60.
What do you think?

I don't have a battery spacer, so couldn't turn the light on, but I did put the head of the M3 on the M4, and liked the looks of it a lot. To me, the M4 then falls into the category of a "baton" light. But that's just my opinion.

I took some pics of a M3 bezel (old style) and l/a on a M6. I was using the turbo head on the M3 to see how I liked it. I had the other parts left over so I figured what the hell and tried it. It looks very odd, but it works perfectly if you use only three batteries.

Ohhh, BTW. You would be using the MN10 or MN11 (not the MN16) with that bezel.

Skid,
That does look a bit odd. Yeah, your right, I'd need the MN10/11.

Still think I'll give this a try.
