Looking forward to this one, have not bought anything of this caliber in my short flashlight career. Have several Fenix: E20, L2D CE, LD01 And E01, nitcore EZ123, Olight T15 and numerous budget lights, but this is my first +$50 light.

My question regards acceptible input voltage for the TK11 with an 18650. I have the Ultrafire 139 Charger which charges batteries to 4.2 volts, will this be a problem with this light? Ordered it from Amazon, specs are sketchy, but specs on 4/7 site says it can take 4.2 Volts 18650, Its still less voltage than 2 123 batteries, so I imagine it would be ok, just don't want to damage my new light. What about 2 fully charged RCR123's is this a problem or is it safe? Thanks, BB

As the TK11R2 is designed to run on two, 3-volt (nominal) primaries, I can see no way that a <5-volt 18650 would damage the circuit.

As a practical matter, my TK11R2 has been run on EagleTac 18650's charged in an ultrafire charger for the past six months and is doing fine.

So, charge your battery, enjoy the lumens, and sleep well.

was there any increase in lumens using the two rechargeable rcr123. doesnt that put out like 8.4 volts or is it still 6 volts. ive seen some rechargeable 123 batts that are rated at 3.7 volts, so i would assume they would charge to 4.2 volts each.
